The OpenClarify Labels

OpenClarify uses three simple labels to indicate how content was created. The goal is not to judge quality or intent but to make the creation process visible at a glance.

AI+ Assist

The image is a pinky purple disc with AI+ written on it in white letters and it is used to signify that the content was created by a real person with the help of AI.

Primarily human-authored, with AI assistance.

Use this label when a human is the primary author and AI tools were used to help with drafting, editing, brainstorming or refinement.

AI Gen

A black disc with a narrow rainbow colour border and AI written on it in white letters and it is used to signify that the content was AI generated using a prompt or series of prompts.

Primarily AI-generated, with human prompting or curation.

Use this label when AI produced most or all of the content and a human’s role was mainly prompting, selecting or lightly editing outputs.

A dark grey disc with a light grey border and H written on it in white lettering and it is used to signify that the content was made by a person entirely without AI input or tools.

Human Only

No AI tools used in creation.

Use this label when a person or team created the content without using AI tools for drafting, editing, brainstorming or refinement. This indicates that the work was produced entirely through human effort, from first draft to final version.
